Leek

Leek

Thrips (light green or light brown), leaf miners

» Can be found on the upper area of the bottom portion of the
leaves, and in the upper area of the leaves.

Steps for cleaning leeks

1. Cut away the leaves from the base of the leek.
2. While holding each leek leaf in your hand, cut leeks in half
vertically. Thoroughly rinse each leaf under a strong stream of
water, removing the dirt from the leaf.
3. Repeat this washing process for both sides of each leaf. It is recommended rubbing both sides of each leek leaf with your fingers while the water is cascading upon the leaf. No further inspection is necessary
