The Vaad HaKashrus entrusts all approved Shomer Shabbos employees with the responsibility for many areas of Kashrus in the facility they are employed by. Therefore, The Vaad has adopted a strict approval system for all Shomer Shabbos employees regardless of their background.

Two letters of recommendation from two Rabbonim on the Rav’s official letter head must be attached to the application.The letters must include

A) How the Rav knows the applicant

B) How long the Rav knows the applicant

C) The letters must attest to the status of the applicants Shmiras Shabbos and must address the level of his Halachic integrity.
